NICU Hats
I hope this site can help those who have lost a child know that you can survive such a loss and to be of assistance to those who know someone going through this trauma. I’m not a professional, but I know how much it hurts. You never get over the loss of a child; you learn to live with it. I thought I would never survive this, but I have because there is no other choice. I want people to smile when they remember Noah and not be afraid to tell me when they are thinking of him. I want to keep Noah's memory alive and for him to touch the lives of people who have never met him. Periodically, I will be featuring short posts focusing on childhood loss, spirituality and my life as a minimalist under The Flood.
I will share what has given me a small amount of comfort or in the very least has been a momentary distraction from my grief. I taught myself how to crochet because I wanted to make little hats for NICU babies and the pediatric oncology patients at the local hospital. I also taught myself how to sew and began to make pillowcases for the oncology children. I can no longer help Noah, but I have made it my personal mission to donate my time and talents to help suffering children. Check out the Noah’s Ark tab for more information.
Below are some examples of my work.
